This is one of the most captivating treks in the Kullu region of Himachal Pradesh. The Malana – Chandrakhani Pass trek begins at Naggar.

At an altitude of 9,938 feet, lies the village of Malana, also known as the village of Taboo.

Malana is considered as one of the oldest democracies in the world and it is widely believed that people of Malana are direct descendant of Greeks, who visited India during one of their campaigns under Alexander the Great.


Day 1: Arrival in  Naggar. Walk around Naggar(Naggar castle,Rorick Art Gallery, Krishan Temple and Guri Shanker temple)

 Day 2: Naggar to Nayatapu - 4 to 5 Hours  (10,000 feet / 3048 Meters)

 Day 3: Nayatapu to Chaklani (2378 Meters). 3 - 4 Hours

 Day 4: Chaklani to Nagruni (3000 Meters) via Chandrakhani Pass (3660 Meters). 5 - 6 Hours.

Day 5: Nagruni to malana and back to Naggar or Kasol.
