Skiing and Snowboarding

For beginners, the Solang Valley, offers ideal ski conditions with introductory slopes and ski lifts. We can organise ski packages to meet your requirements with trained instructors, all the required gear and stay. The basic course trains you to ski down gentle slopes. For moderate skiers/snowboarders, we drive up on four wheel drive jeeps and also provide guides and porters.

Amritsar-Dharamshala

Amritsar Dharamshala Manali Tour (10 days)
Chandigarh – Amritsar – Dharamshala – Manali

This trip includes all the must-dos on everyone’s list like the Golden Temple and the thick Punjabi lassi (a meal in itself!) in Amritsar, Monastery at McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala’s gushing waterfall, Manali’s Hadimba temple and the ancient castle in Naggar. But in addition to this, we add in our off the beaten track touches to make the trip a memorable one. Experience Paragliding in Bir, where the 2015 Paragliding World Cup was held, and land in a picturesque Tibetan village. End your trip with a 3 day trek to Chanderkhani Pass which brings you up close and personal with the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.

Day 1: Chandigarh sightseeing (optional)
Take a city tour of Chandigarh. The Rock Garden, created by a humble road inspector called Nek Chand is the pride of the city. Its a marvel of urban waste material transformed into creative patterns and art objects. Other attractions in Chandigarh include Leisure Valley, Sukna Lake and Rose Garden.
Day 2: Chandigarh to Amritsar (5 hrs)
Drive past the green fields of Punjab (yellow, if the mustard plants are flowering) and reach Amritsar, about 240 kms away. Check-in to hotel and spend the evening and night at the Golden Temple – a special time of day to see this most spiritual of places.
Day 3: Amritsar sightseeing
Start you day with blessing from the Golden Temple again, if you wish, and move on to Jallianwala Bagh. This is one of the most important sites of the Indian Freedom Movement – where, on April 13, 1919, British and Gurkha soldiers opened fire on an unarmed civilians. In the evening visit the Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch the Flag Retreat Ceremony.
Day 4: Amritsar to Dharamshala
Early morning drive to Dharamshala. Dharamshala, enfolded on three sides by the mountains, is divided into lower and upper towns. McLeodganj is part of the upper town. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.
Day 5: Dharamshala sightseeing
Take in the calmness and serenity of Dharamsala with its towering pine trees and tea gardens. Visit the Dalai Lama Temple complex, the seat of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. Continue on to Bhagsunag, known for its old temple, a fresh water spring and waterfalls, one of the main attractions of McLeodganj.
Day 6: Dharamshala – Manali
The drive to Manali (2050m) at the Northern end of the Kullu Valley will take you past the tea gardens of Palampur. Take a small detour to the charming village of Andretta, where you can see Norah Richards, the Irish writer’s, quaint mudhouse. Andretta is also famous for its glazed pottery. Stop over at Bir for a bout of adventure – paragliding. Reach Manali, surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks with the snowline never more than a few hours’ drive away. Check in to hotel.
Day 7: Manali sightseeing
Visit the Hadimba temple, Vasisht Baths, Manu Temple and Tibetan monastery. Chill in Old Manali, imbibe the local ambience and shop for souvenirs at the Tibetan Market on the Mall.
Day 8-10: Chanderkhani Trek
The trail from Naggar through the heritage village of Rumsu and all the way up to beautiful Chanderkhani Pass offers glorious views of snow-clad peaks and thick carpets of birch and spruce. Spend two nights up among the pristine peaks,  camp on top and descend back to Naggar.
